Our Story
The idea for My Sensory Sack was developed in 2019 when the owner, Harriet was playing with her 11 month old nephew. She saw how stimulating and captivating the simple, but specifically designed sensory items were for him. Coming from a psychology background, this got her thinking that sometimes you have to take away the big sounds, bright lights and plastic buttons and keep it simple and specific.

The idea grew into creating bundles of these sensory items which target different (and often overlapping) senses to help child development. Thoughtfully put together combinations of items; Harriet has spent time doing all of the research that you don’t have time to do! And by putting them in linen sacks, parents, childminders and tutors can simply chuck them in their stroller or bag and take it with them wherever they go. Living in Whistler, BC she knows the extent of how much parents are on the go!

Designed for creating opportunities of bonding and casual learning between parents and their
babies, the sacks are very popular as gifts too.

Harriet has a BSc Psychology and Post-Graduate Certificate in Education and has used her background in a variety of teaching environments throughout her careers.
